Deputation – Volume 1 Issue 1

April 2016

Dear Pastor,

I pray that this letter finds you all well and that God is blessing you as you follow his will for your lives.
Since being excepted to BIMI in December of last year, God has truly blessed us as we endeavor to raise the support to go to Mozambique.

Our first Missions Conference was at our Home Church, Coast Hills Baptist Church, January 20th-24th, it was a tremendous time, getting to hear from veteran missionaries, and those that have been on deputation, learning from them and talking with them about what we will be going through in the coming months.

In January I was contacted by Pastor Rusty Smith about joining Mikado Baptist Church in Macon, GA, for their Missions Conference, “Declare” February 20th-24th.

Well February rolled around and it was time to leave for Georgia. That Sunday we had a wonderful time being with several classes during the Sunday School hour. It was a true privilege to be able to present our Ministry to the Church that Monday night, and then be with the “Kidz Trek” and talk to the kids about our call to Mozambique.

It was great to get to see the Haley’s missionaries to Botswana, once again and too meet the Telman family missionaries to Uganda. The friendliness of the people at Mikado was wonderful and the fellowship was a blessing in that we made new friendships with people that I look forward to building and renewing for years to come.

We have been contacted by other churches but do to expecting the birth of our daughter Eden, we were not able to schedule meetings for the Spring. We are starting to fill the Calendar on the East Coast for this coming Fall.

We were informed in March that Mikado Baptist would be partnering with us and taking us on for support, we also learned that my in-laws, the Klein family missionaries to Argentine will also be supporting us as well. It is a true blessing to see God work as we move forward with deputation. Thank you so much Mikado Baptist and Klein family for your support of our ministry.

Prayer Requests:

  • That we will be able schedule meetings here in California that we can go to on Saturdays and Sundays as we move forward to going full time on Deputation.
  • That we will raise that support needed to go full time on Deputation.
  • That God would provide a truck and trailer that would suit our families needs and that would be reliable and without problems.
  • For Lorin and Eden as we get closer to Delivery, that everything would go smooth and that there would be no complications.
  • For the People of Mozambique as the country is in the midst of a severe drought and political strife and turmoil between the two main political parties in the country. Food and Water are becoming scares and it is becoming unsafe to travel as vehicles on roads are being shot at regardless of who is inside.
  • That God would work even now in that Hearts and lives of the people to prepare them for the Gospel.
  • For our learning capabilities as we begin to study Portuguese and as we begin a course in Biblical Studies to complete the needed classes.
  • For our Health that we would remain well so that there will not be any set backs to Deputation.
  • Our Spiritual lives that we will remain close to God and grow each and every day closer to him, that we will not stray from His will or be caught up in the snares of the Devil.
  • For Safety when we travel.
