Dear Pastor and praying friends:
Here in the Southeast, School is back in session; kids started their first day this last Monday. It was an easy talking point to start conversations with people about where their kids or themselves would be going to school, it would then give us the opportunity to talk to them about church and ask them where they will be going for eternity. Although we did not get to see anyone saved, we were able to encourage some people who claim salvation to go back to church, and get others to think about eternity.
We also had a wonderful time with Pleasantville Baptist Church in New Castle Delaware helping with their Vacation Bible School. It was a blessing to be able to assist with many aspects of the week, but my favorite was the Missionary Storytime where I got to tell the kids about what we can learn from God while on the mission field.
Big News and prayer request, our Travel Trailer is Fixed. Lorin’s Parents, Jeff and Nanci Klein, came back to the states for a very short furlough and during the month of July my father in-law repaired our trailer with me acting as his assistant. I am very thankful that God has blessed my father in-law with the knowledge and ability to be able to repair the trailer, as well as helping with maintenance on our truck. Please pray that the repairs would remain and hold strong and that we would not have any more problems with the trailer.
We only have 4 more weeks before we head back to the West Coast for meetings and my Ordination (Sept 16). Please be in prayer, as I prepare for this service, that God would give me his Wisdom, Knowledge, and Understanding.
We have had a splendid time with the 11 churches we visited June through July, as we have made new friends and prayer partners; their generosity, giving, support, and friendship greatly bless us. We thank the Lord that Southside Baptist Church (Denison, TX) began partnering with us in reaching Mozambique. We are now at 47.53% support. I praise God for the safety He has provided as we drove over 5,000 miles since our last prayer letter.
Thank you so very much for your financial and prayer support as we continue to make our way to Mozambique.

Prayer Requests:
- Safety as we, continue traveling
- For the many Churches that have said that they would like to take us on for support, that God would enable them to have the finances to support us.
- For our Trailer that the repairs would hold.
- We will be able to schedule meetings and fill our calendar.
- We will raise the support needed to go to the field.
- For the People of Mozambique that God would work even now in the hearts and lives of the people to prepare them for the Gospel.
- For our ability to learn quickly as we begin to study Portuguese and as we continue a course in Biblical Studies to complete our required classes.
- For our continued good health, so that there will be no setbacks on the Deputation Trail.
- That our Spiritual lives will remain close to God and for us to grow each and every day closer to him, and that we would not stray from His will or be caught up in the snares of the Devil.
- For Lorin and the new baby during this pregnancy.
